Course Description

Research indicates the pivotal role various types of communication plays in a managers ability to positively influence performance in a work environment.In this workshop, leaders and managers will receive critical tools for advocating organizational strategy and new initiatives, while helping create an open communication culture.Using the Managers Communication Profile, participants will understand their communication strengths and weaknesses, along with strategies on how to match communication with context.Learners will review common mistakes leaders make in communication with subordinates, as well as how to communicate in difficult conversations.Finally, an overview of communication management will be examined to help leaders effectively integrate various types of communication in order to encourage an open, productive work climate.By the end of this workshop participants will be equipped with micro and macro tools for communicating, as well as a personal awareness of how to guide individuals, teams and their organization more effectively.
